Individually hand crafted thin shell gold coverage and conventional
Crown and Bridge for Natural Teeth
Our crown and bridge department is known for its quality work and able
to meet most any patient’s request for design. We provide the following
restorative crown services:
-
For conventional crown and bridge preparation, we ask that
impressions be checked thoroughly by the doctor prior to sending to
ensure marginal integrity. When occlusion is questionable, full arch
models or a wax bite will be most helpful. For any cutout, open face
or gold appliqué to be inserted in an open face, please provide
proper reduction of prepared tooth.
| |
Permanent
gold shell crowns are for those
teeth with major reduction which if removed
would cause trauma to the tooth. |
|

-
For a more cost
effective gold coverage, you may want to consider moving away from
the high cost of gold used to replace the reduction made to the
tooth for conventional crown and bridge reductions and allowing us
to make a thin coverage gold shell for you. Just provide either an
impression or a model for opposing occlusion. You may remove mesial,
distal, incisal and lingual to give clearance for gold coverage of ¼
mm or just send the model with opposing and we’ll parallel the die
as needed and mark for your guidance.

Cosmetic
gold shell crowns are those which
are attached to a natural tooth that has been
slightly reduced to give clearance for the shell
crown. These crowns may be removed without
major trauma to the tooth. |
